Hello, Fantasy Football people.

Because we had a couple Hawaiians join our league this year, a live draft is going to be more difficult than it was last year. That’s a 6 hour time difference between there and the East coast.

So here’s how we’re going to do this:

The draft will be “Live”, but I will set the draft clock to allow up to 10 hours between picks.

I need you to turn on notifications on the ESPN app so you know when it’s your turn
I also need you to occasionally check the app to see if it’s your turn, if the app does not notify.
Feel free to harass anyone who has been on the clock for a few hours without making a pick. There’s going to be a certain amount of holding each other accountable to make sure we get through this.

It will go until our rosters are full. It could take days. It could take weeks. You just all better stay on top of this so we can be done before the first game of the regular season.

If it’s your turn and you don’t make your pick in the 10 hour timeframe, the system will pick one for you based on the best statistical player from last year. Please don’t be the person who lets 10 hours elapse without doing anything.

Because those of us who played last year get to keep 2 players, I have prioritized the new players to draft first. After the new people, it is reverse order based on how you finished last year.

I’ll be drunk over at Marc & April’s watching the game on Thursday, and texting reminders to people, if anyone has any questions. Let’s see if we can knock out a round or 3 on day 1.
